What I Love About My Taylor Morrison Home

We don’t just sell Taylor Morrison homes, we buy them ourselves and live in them, too. Recently, I caught up with Michael Lindeman, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for our Austin division and asked him what he loves about his Taylor Morrison home. (That’s Michael and his family dressed up for last year’s community Halloween party.)

Michael purchased the Lancaster at one of our communities in Steiner Ranch. For those of you unfamiliar with the Austin area, Steiner Ranch is often called the Land Between the Lakes. It’s located on 4,600 pristine acres between Lake Austin and Lake Travis. It was named Best Master-Planned Community in the greater Austin area in 2004 and offers residents exceptional amenities at three community centers. Those include pools, a lake club and 20 miles of hike and bike trails. It’s also home to the University of Texas Golf Club, a 7,225-yard championship course. Steiner Ranch is an area of exceptional natural beauty convenient to shopping, entertainment, major employment centers and recreation. It’s also part of the award-winning Leander Independent School District. An article on About.com says Steiner Ranch is “ideal for people who enjoy golfing, boating, swimming, biking, fishing and any other outdoor activities. It is an upscale area that feels very safe and has many included amenities, making it a great place to raise a family.” In short, it’s a totally cool place to live!

Michael and his family totally agree. “Our home backs on to greenbelt and Hill Country views. Our kids go to an outstanding school that’s close to home. We can walk to the pool, the park and the neighborhood playground. We’re involved in community social gatherings, where we can get to know our neighbors. Plus we have the security and protected investment of being in Austin’s #1 master planned community. What’s not to love!?”

The Lindeman’s Lancaster floor plan is a 3,330-square-foot, 2-story home with 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths and spacious second-story game room with the optional balcony. The master suite is downstairs, which the Lindemans say gives them a nice private retreat. “It’s a big space with a huge walk-in closet, separate tub and shower and dual vanities. We added the optional bay window to take advantage of the views.” There’s a formal living and dining room, but Michael says they spend most of their time in the family room. “We love the way it flows into the kitchen and breakfast nook – shorter trips for snacks and great for entertaining.”

The Lancaster model is no longer available, but Michael says there are plenty of other new Taylor Morrison homes at three Steiner Ranch communities. These include Fairways at Steiner Ranch, Palisades at Steiner Ranch and Austin Shoreview Overlook at Steiner Ranch. “There’s literally something for everybody here.
