Have you ever wished you could be a kid again? No big responsibilities, no bills to pay, just lots of fun, fun, fun! If you have children of your own, revisit your inner kid and have some fun with them. There are plenty of kid-friendly things to do together, whether you’re at home in Irvine, CA or Bradenton, FLA or Chandler, Arizona.
Here are a few ideas to get you thinking.
Make Some Bird Feeders – If you have a spent toilet paper roll and some peanut butter, all you need is birdseed and you’re on your way. Slather the paper roll in peanut better, roll it in seeds and hang the new bird feeder on a branch.
Go on a Zoo Scavenger Hunt – Give the kids animal photos and have them find each one at the local zoo. Printable sheets can be found here. Print one out per kid and attach them to clip boards. Give each child a pencil, head to the zoo. They’ll love hunting for each animal.
Cool Off with Water Beads – Colorful absorbent beads are usually used in flower vases and can be found at craft stores. Add a bunch of these to a backyard kiddie pool. Kids love splashing around in the result. Best not to do with really young children.
