On Tuesday the 17th of March people across the nation bust out their green duds and scour the family tree for just a drop of Irish blood. After all, there’s just no party quite like St. Patty’s Day!
And if you happen to live in a Taylor Morrison community you’re in luck. From the desert to the Everglades we’ve combed the web for this year’s top St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in your neck of the woods.
So whether you’re into fun runs or running straight to a bar to order a pint of green beer, don’t forget to grab a shamrock and dance a jig this St. Patty’s Day. You don’t have to be in Dublin to experience the Luck of the Irish!
But check event dates carefully as many of these awesome activities take place on the weekend before the big day.
Arizona – Cactuses are green, but don’t try to kiss one.
Phoenix:
If you’re living in Phoenix you absolutely can’t miss out on the 32nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Irish Faire. The parade will travel through several Phoenix neighborhoods starting on 3rd Street from Sheridan south to McDowell and the faire will feature three stages of Irish music and dancing as well as activities for kids and plenty of food.
The party kicks off at 10am on Saturday, March 14. No sleeping in!
California – The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow
Bay Area (East Bay):
When you can’t make it all the way to Ireland there’s always Dublin, California!
Roll out of bed early on Saturday to eat up at the Alameda County Firefighters’ Pancake Breakfast from 7:00 – 10:00 AM at Fire Station #16, located at 7494 Donahue Drive in Dublin.
Next up the parade gets rolling at 9:30, running from Amador Plaza down Dublin Blvd. to Village Pkwy and on to Amador Valley Blvd.
A city sponsored festival runs from 10:00-5:00 both Saturday and Sunday at the Dublin Civic Center.
Bay Area (South Bay/San Jose):
If your idea of a St. Patty’s Day celebration is a weekend long pub crawl you’ll be glad you live near San Jose!
The Britannia Arms Almaden at 5027 Almaden Expy, San Jose will be pouring pints of green beer all weekend long with drink specials and the opportunity to pick up a specially engraved Guinness glass on Saturday for just ten bucks.
For a taste of proper Irish music head to O’Flaherty’s Irish Pub on the 17th to hear The Crooked Road Céilí Band take you back to the old country.
Sacramento:
For the 19th year straight, residents of Sacramento will be treated to Northern California’s most colorful St. Patrick’s Day parade.
Featuring literally hundreds of vibrant marchers outfitted in green and traditional highland costume, this is a cultural event not to be missed. The procession kicks off from 2nd Street between Neasham Circle and O Street at 1 o’clock on the 15th, near the Crocker Art Museum.

Southern California (Eastern LA County):
For those who own real estate in Brea, CA there are a host of thrilling activities to choose from.
The legendary Queen Mary is the ideal locale for trying your legs at Irish dancing from 7pm to 1am on Sunday, March 15th. Don’t miss out on the best Celtic rock music in East Los Angeles.
Get your run on at the 4th Annual Leprechaun Leap on Sunday near The Tustin Hangar and head to Pershing Square in Los Angeles for a parade (10am) and concert (noon) on Tuesday the 17th.
Southern California (Orange County):

The Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 14th will start a little earlier this year, at 9:30, so plan accordingly.

Shamrocks in Florida
Fort Myers/Naples:
