When purchasing a new home the Taylor Morrison Design Center walks with you every step of the way to add signature touches and customize your dream property. Taylor Morrison continues their commitment after the sale with this easy to follow guide for professional art display.
Jazz up your new house in Sarasota or luxury home in Irvine with fine art, stunning prints, and iconic photographs.
Keep it Level
Crooked frames just won’t fly. Use 2 hooks to keep your artwork level and consider D-rings instead of a wire to avoid the pendulum effect.
Never ever “eyeball it.” Use a level.
Buy the Right Hardware
Forget heavy nails and stud finder. Picture-hanging hooks install at an angle and are super strong.
The 60 Rule
60” from floor to center puts artwork at eye level. When hanging multiple prints apply the 60 rule to the center point of the set.
Measure at least 2” between frames.
Do a Test Run
Prior to hammering, hold paintings in place and see how they look from a distance.
Colors Matter
Avoid tunnel vision and consider moving a piece to a different room if colors clash.
Get Creative
Scrap the “grid.”
Artwork need not be displayed in neat boxes or along straight lines. Break the mold of proportionality!
