Costumes, prizes, food, drinks and plenty of laughs. The Kiss Me I’m Irish Fun Run in Glendale on Saturday, March 12th offers the perfect blend of heart pounding exercise and St. Patty’s Day leisure. Casual participants can choose between 1k, 4k and 8k walk/runs while more serious runners can compete in the 17k.
Don’t miss out on the 33rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Faire in Phoenix. The parade kicks off at 10 a.m. (click here for a printable route map). Faire will feature three stages of Irish music and dancers, traditional Irish food and plenty of great activities for the wee ones.
A Touch of Ireland in the Bay Area
For the Bay Area’s most authentic St. Patrick’s Day bash, head to Dublin! For over three decades Dublin, CA has hosted the greenest party around. Events take place all weekend long, Friday, March 11th through Sunday, the 12th. Come hungry for Saturday’s pancake breakfast and stay for the parade. Work off those extra stacks of flapjacks Sunday morning at the Shamrock 5k.
For the little Leprechauns in your family, the San Jose Public Library will host a special St. Patty’s story time event on Wednesday, March 16th at 6 p.m.

Sacramento Kisses the Blarney Stone
Welcome hundreds of green clad marchers, Irish and Highland dancers, bagpipes, drummers and more to the 20th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 12th in Old Sacramento. This year’s event begins promptly at 1 p.m. at the corner of 2nd and “I” before winding through the historic landmark district.
Lace up your running shoes for the Shamrock’n Half Marathon – or take it down a notch and settle for the 5k! Get your little ones involved in a healthy lifestyle with the Kids’ Leprechaun ½ Mile Dash. This event features a whopping 15 live bands and over 10,000 participants.
Get out and enjoy some of that warm Southern California sun at the Leprechaun Leap 5K run. The race takes place at 7 a.m. on Sunday, March 13th at Tustin Legacy. Don’t forget to dress up as awards will be given for the best costume!
For parades, you can choose between the Orange County Marker Place or beautiful Hermosa Beach. Each year more than 30,000 visitors flock to historic Pier Avenue to enjoy a procession of marching bands, traditional dancers, bagpipers, floats and more.
Simply put, the Irish Stampede is one of the top St. Patrick’s Day parades in the nation, with horses, color guards and plenty of green. Make plans to join us at 9:30 a.m. on March 12th in LoDo.
