Chicago Homes Discover Their Inner Leprechaun
This year the famous Downtown Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on Saturday, March 12th. As always the event kicks off at noon and is preceded at 9 a.m. by the popular dyeing of the Chicago River. You’ll find bagpipes, Irish dancers and plenty of green clad party goers.
Following the parade, bring the kids to the Irish American Heritage Center for the St. Patrick’s Festival from 1 p.m. to midnight. Further events and activities such as live music, dancing and food are scheduled for the 17th from noon to 10 p.m. Purchase tickets online.
Runners should schedule in time to do the Leprechaun Leap on Saturday morning. Don’t forget to wear green!

The theme of the 2016 Houston St. Patrick’s Day Parade is “Paint H-Town Green.” So do your part and join the gang anywhere along the parade route. Procession begins at noon on March 12th with an after party at Lucky’s Pub!
