FAQs About the Taylor Morrison Construction Process

FAQs about Taylor Morrison Building Process

Setting out to build a new home can be exciting but nerve-wracking for homebuyers. That’s why at Taylor Morrison we go out of our way to ensure the process is as smooth and stress-free as possible. We have policies and systems in place to help you understand the process, to get the home you want.

At the heart of our relationship with homebuyers is being here to answer questions all along the way. Here are some of the most common questions we receive.

1.  I have so many choices! How do I narrow it down to the right home in the right community?

Contact an Internet Home Consultant. For example, if you’re interested in new single-family homes in Sacramento, California and are considering Addison at Fiddyment Ranch in Roseville, you can chat with the IHC on the community page. If you don’t have time for a chat, follow the link from the community page to fill out a short form to Request Information.

The IHC will answer your questions, help you find the ideal floor plan for you and your family, and can schedule an appointment for a one-on-one VIP tour.

2. Can I customize my home?

Personalizing is encouraged! Most Taylor Morrison homes give you several options for how the layout is configured. Many floor plans, like the new homes in Denver, offer options for additional bedrooms, a larger garage and gourmet upgrades in the kitchen. For finishing options, the professional designers at our Design Studio will help you select finishes, flooring and tech products.

3. Can I save money by buying items at a home improvement store?

No. We can roll your costs into your home mortgage and, unlike retail stores, our Design Studio prices include things you’d pay extra for elsewhere including:

  • On-time delivery and installation
  • Warranty on every item installed
  • Sales tax – our items are purchased sales tax-free
  • Professional design consultation

4. What happens if I need to move out of my current location before my new home is ready?

Most moving companies offer temporary storage for a fee or can provide storage options. Also, cities where Taylor Morrison communities are located have temporary housing options for just this kind of situation. Check with the local Chamber of Commerce or on the internet to find the best temporary housing solution for you.
