CALIFORNIA

Bay Area

If you’re talking Bay Area universities, the conversation usually starts with prestigious world class schools like Stanford and UC Berkley. Located along the peninsula, Stanford is a relatively easy commute from most Bay Area new home communities.

In the South Bay, San Jose State University and Santa Clara University are both quality options.

For Berkley or St. Mary’s College look at Wilder Canyon. If you’re unfamiliar with St. Mary’s, they’re ranked in the top 5% in the nation for salary potential.

From East Bay communities, students will be looking at a little further drive but most of the schools listed here are doable. As an alternative, consider Cal State East Bay.

Sacramento

If you ask Sacramento Division President Aren Bazzocco for the best local school he’s likely to suggest California State University Sacramento (“Sac State”). After all, he’s an alumnus! The campus is easily accessible from all Sacramento area new home communities.

For those who prefer a smaller school, William Jessup University near Rocklin, CA communities. Jessup also offers a variety of post-grad programs including an MBA.

COLORADO

Denver

Tampa is a great area to live and go to school. The city is big enough to offer plenty of fun stuff to do and a variety of 4-year universities but small enough that it’s possible to commute from any of our Tampa area new home communities.

Residents of Arbor Lakes on Palmer Ranch and other area communities have a trio of quality universities to choose from including the highly ranked New College of Florida.

With one of the top four nursing programs in the Panhandle State and an exceptionally high pass-rate for other vocational tracks, the State College of Florida is a safe bet when hoping to jump right out of school and into the work force.

And if you’ve got an artist in the family, the Ringling College of Art and Design is a fantastic place to jumpstart a career in the fine arts.
