Welcome Spring Through Your Front Porch

The front porch is your home’s first impression. A quick update can get you, and your lucky neighbors across the street, in the mood for the warmer months. A few easy ways to refresh include:
- New welcome mats. Try out a braided one to add some interest with texture.
- Pot flowers. A pop of color can immediately bring life and vibrancy to your front yard.
- A good power wash. Give your front porch the cleaning it needs to shine.
If you’re in the mood for a bigger project with major impact, paint your front door in a classic spring hue to take your entrance to the next level. Our faves this season:
Sherwin Williams Big Dipper (SW9645) & Sherwin Williams Westhaven (SW9675)
A moody, dark color that pairs well with pops of soft cream and bronze accents for a fresh take on 2026 spring design.

Our next design trend: mixing antique and modern elements. Like they say, everything old is new again…but with a twist.
Antique, Meet Modern
Heritage-inspired design is having a moment. Vintage and traditional influences are showing up everywhere, from lighting to plumbing to hardware, and they’re landing comfortably in that sweet spot between classic and transitional.

Warm finishes continue to lead the way this season. Burnished brass, champagne gold, and polished nickel are gaining momentum, especially when layered into kitchens and bathrooms for added depth.
Spring is the perfect time to mix antique and modern pieces rather than starting from scratch. A few easy ideas:
Pair an heirloom dining table with clean-lined, modern chairs.

Style a traditional coffee table with contemporary lamps or accessories.

Upgrade hardware or fixtures for an easy and quick refresh.

This approach keeps spaces feeling personal, collected, and current, while adding just enough spring energy to make your home feel refreshed and completely livable.
